Job Title: Welder/Fabricator
Job Summary:
We are seeking full time and part time reliable, competent, motivated, and skilled Welders/Fabricators to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to specifications. The Welder/Fabricator must possess expertise in assembling, working with metals 1/8″ to 1.5″, operating GMAW/Mig welding equipment, using hand power tools, and operating ironworker and/or drill press type machines.
Responsibilities:
– Read and interpret shop drawings to understand project requirements
– Fabricate and assemble metal structures using techniques such as welding, bolting, drilling, and punching
– Measure with tools such as a tape measure, measuring and reading down to 1/16″
– Utilize power tools for plasma cutting, grinding, and shaping metal pieces
– Inspect finished products for quality and ensure they meet specifications
– Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator or similar role
– Proficient in working with metal and various welding techniques
– Familiarity with operating forklifts, O.H. cranes, and jib cranes
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
– Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
– Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity
– Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Welding: minimum of one year required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Expected hours: 20 – 45 per week
